SA Regulator Issues Electrical Safety Warning

South Australia’s work health and safety regulator has issued a warning about electrical safety at work, this following a number of electric shocks in the state involving workers.

In the warning Safe Work SA’s Acting Executive Director, Marie Boland said safety switches installed in workplaces assisted in preventing serious injuries.

According to Safe Work SA there were more than 300 incident notifications of electric shocks in workplaces received compared with 284 to the end of June in 2014 which prompted the warning.
