Study Shows Asbestos-related Cancer Patients Benefit from Aspirin Use


A new study has proven that aspirin can improve survival rates of people suffering with the fatal asbestos related cancer, Mesothelioma.

According to researchers at The University of Hawaii aspirin blocks the carcinogenic effects of the inflammatory molecule, High-Mobility Box 1 (HMGB1), the molecule promotes the growth of Mesothelioma.

In Australia, around 670 people are diagnosed with asbestos related disease each year.
