2017 Hasn’t Been Good for Workplace Health and Safety

The construction industry has been responsible for an alarming number of workplace fatalities this year, together with the transport, postal and warehousing industry and the agriculture, forestry and fishing industry.

The construction industry had the third highest number of fatalities, 13 so far.

Recent Safe Work Australia figures indicate that 76 Australian workers have been killed so far in 2017.

In the  Transport, postal & warehousing industry 30 workplace fatalities have taken place.

Agriculture, forestry & fishing workplaces have seen 15 fatalities this year.
