Boom Results in More Than 100000 Construction Jobs

A boom in the construction industry has led to more than 100,000 new workers being added to the industry, according to data from The Australian Bureau of Statistics.

The total number of people employed throughout Australia’s construction industry as at November was 1.165 million.

New South Wales had the biggest increase with 39,400 workers added, which makes up 11.6 per cent of its workforce.Victoria followed closely begin with an increase of 34,500 workers or 13.5 per cent of the industry’s workforce. Queensland experienced a rise in its construction workforce of 4.6 per cent or 10,400 workers.
