The protestors marched to Queen Street in inner Brisbane recently, to protest over the alleged assault of a worker while he was on a Grocon work site.

The assaulted worker’s fellow plasterers stood up for him and were also thrown off the site. The Grocon worker was then moved to another site after the scuffle.

News of the incident quickly spread through the construction union and police. During the protest dozens of police lined the entry of the Grocon site.
