The ACT recorded the greatest drop in new home building approvals in February, despite a national rise.

Approvals in The ACT fell 15.6 per cent which was the greatest decline across all states and territories.

Nationally new dwellings approvals rose by 0.8 per cent, following an 8 month fall.

NSW, Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia all recorded increases in new dwelling approvals with Canberra, The NT, Queensland and Western Australia all recording declines.
