Common Traits of People who are Underpaid

As the writer highlights not recognising when employees deserve a raise could end up costing the company thousands of dollars because you may end up losing well trained, experienced employees and will have to invest time and money into training someone new.

Author Barbara Stanny runs down some common traits of underearners in her book, Secrets of Six Figure Women but they are also applicable to male workers.

  • High tolerance for low pay
  • Tendency to undervalue your worth
  • Willingness to work free of charge
  • Bad negotiating skills
