Australian workers have been urged to take a moment to consider safety in their workplaces this October.

Safe Work Australia Chair Diane Smith-Gander said a moment’s forethought could help prevent harm and as October is National Safe Work Month, it’s time to take a moment for safety.

She said it can be as simple as spending a few minutes each morning speaking to the team about the hazards and risks in the workplace.

She said everyone should be involved from the workers on site to the CEO in the boardroom, everyone has a role to play in making the workplace safer and healthier.
