Despite the Australian Bureau of Statistics Jobs data recently showing a loss of 5,000 jobs in the Australian economy, the construction industry remains the “bright light” of the Australian job market, a writer on Sourceable.net explained.

Skills shortages across construction industry trades are starting to emerge, while other sectors struggle.

The construction sector is the third largest employment sector in Australia and employment across the construction sector grew by 76,000. This number is expected to almost double over the next four years with 137,000-plus further new jobs expected to be added by 2019.
