Falling objects can pose a serious threat to workers and visitors on construction sites and mandatory hard hats and PPE aren’t always adequate protection to avoid serious injury.

A Conneticut construction worker was left seriously injured after being hit by a falling brick.

The brick apparently fell from the 4th floor of a building and struck the worker on his head. The incident rendered the man unconscious.

His condition was described as “extremely critical” highlighting the importance of addressing these risks on construction sites.
