Construction Worker Injured after Seven Storey Fall at Building Site

The construction worker who fell from a height at a construction site on the Gold Coast is in a critical condition but after a week is said to be showing signs of improvement.

The construction worker fell seven stories at a Varsity Lakes construction site last week.

He has been working in Australia for 15 years after moving here from Ireland.

The 37 year old carpenter sustained multiple fractures and reported has significant internal injuries.

The injuries were so severe that paramedics did not expect him to survive.
