A construction worker was recently rescued by MFB after falling several metres on a building site in Melbourne’s CBD, at the corner of Market and Flinders Street.

Fire crews worked to free the  man who had fallen between scaffolding and other work equipment, which an MFB spokesperson said was “a delicate operation”.

Ambulance Victoria were also on the scene and confirmed that the man had suffered back injuries during the fall. He remained conscious during the rescue efforts.

The cause of the fall has not been discovered but WorkSafe is investigating.
