Crane Climbing Apprentice High and Drunk

Following the bizarre incident involving an apprentice carpenter climbing up a crane after breaking into a construction site in Wollongong, the court has heard that the man was high on both amphetamines and alcohol.

The young man scaled the crane in the CBD on Australia Day this year before balancing on a cable 12 storeys high.

The young man apparently had no recollections of his actions following the incident.

The man pleaded guilty to trespassing and risking the safety of another by climbing up the crane.
