Dozens of Buildings to Be Demolished for Sydney Metro Rail Construction

Sydney Metro, the government body responsible for the construction of the new $11 billion line through the CBD from north shore to the inner west says the construction will not require any major disruption but around 20 buildings in the CBD alone would need to be demolished and in total 52 buildings will be sacrificed for the project.

It is expected that roads will be closed and neighbourhoods split in 2 by the project which is expected to begin in 2018.

This is just one project forming part of the transport construction boom.
