In a recent study by UNSW it was revealed that a number of NSW apartments had defects reported by the apartment’s owners. In fact research of 1550 strata owners indicated that 72 per cent had building defects in their properties.

The study looked into building completion dates back to 1920 until 2011 and found that since the year 2000, the number of apartments with building defects rose to 85 per cent.

As a writer in a post on Sourceable.net points out this is an “alarming and incongruous” revelation and is a dissappointing indication of the quality of residential apartment construction in the state.
