This year seems to be fraught with workplace health and safety incidents and particularly falls from heights.

The latest one involved a 45 year old man who had to be transported to hospital after falling through a roof at Pennant Hills.

The man was replacing the roof’s skylight sheeting when he fell 3 metres onto the deck below. The man sustained head and limb injuries as a result.

He was treated on the scene and then transported to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.

When working from a height, it is crucial that the proper controls are in place including adequate fall protection.
