Mornington Peninsula Gets $16m Sky-Lift Construction

The Arthurs Seat Chairlift will get a $16 million face-lift by the end of next year, with the construction plans for the new gondola-style cable ride being approved.

Construction will start any day now after the construction consortium Arthurs Seat Skylift signed a 50-year-lease. They will be revamping the site after being given the go ahead by the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal, who rejected claims by a local group that the proposed skylifts would pose a bush fire risk.
