Queensland Worker Injured After Falling from Height

A worker is in hospital after falling from height while undertaking renovations to a house in Queensland.

According to reports, paramedics were called to the scene near Stanage Bay to attend to the man in his seventies.

He was treated at the scene by ambulance paramedics and was later airlifted to Rockhampton Base Hospital for further treatment.

Safe Work Australia figures show that between July 2006 to June 2009, 6900 workers were hospitalised following a fall from height.
