Workplace Health and Safety Queensland is currently investigating an accident in which 56 year old man died after he was struck by an angle grinder last week.

The worker was working at Maleny, 90km north of Brisbane when he was struck on the chest by the angle grinder.

According to reports, emergency services arrived at the screne around 3pm and the man was rushed to Nambour Hospital. Sadly he did not make it and died shortly after.

This brings to 11 the number of Australians killed at work this year and we’re only in the second month.
