Activity in the housing construction market and low interest rates have resulted in a surge in the demand for personal loans. According to a post on Sourceable.net.au people are taking out personal loans to kit out their new homes.

According to finance experts lower interest rates and a rise in housing construction are driving spending on a range of big ticket household items such as furniture and electrical items. Many of these items are being bought and financed through personal loans.
