SafeWork Australia Updates 2017 Fatality Figures

Safe Work Australia recently released its fatality figures which indicate that 51 Australian workers have been killed at work in 2017.

Although the most fatalities came from the transport, postal and warehousing sector, the construction industry is among the top 3 industries with 9 fatalities so far.

The fact that we’ve had 9 workplace fatalities in the construction industry highlights that we need to prioritise safety.

One way to begin to put safety first is by ensuring everyone has received the necessary safety training, beginning with general construction safety training known as The White Card.
