See what the 2016 Sustainable Cities Index Says


According to the latest list of the world’s most sustainable cities, Australia has a long way to go before its considered one of the world’s more environmentally friendly.

The latest Sustainable Cities Index was released by global design consultancy Arcadis. According to the list, no Australian city is sustainable enough to crack the top 15 on the list.

The list rates the top 100 cities around the world in terms of sustainability and Canberra is the Australian city to feature the highest on the list at number 18.

Sydney is ranked as the second most sustainable city in Australia, coming in at number 21 on the list.

These are the cities to make the top 10:

3. Stockholm
4. Vienna
5. London
6. Frankfurt
7. Seoul
8. Hamburg
9. Prague
10. Munich
