Shortage of Skilled Workers in Western Sydney, Audit Reveals

An audit has revealed a major skills shortage in Western Sydney threatening economic growth in the area.

Unsurprisingly one of the sectors experiencing a lack of skilled labour to fill vacancies is the building industry, a problem intensified by the population growth boom demanding more dwellings in the area.

Almost half of businesses surveyed were experiencing a deficit in technical skills.
