Updated Work Related Fatalities Report

The latest workplace fatality figures from Safe Work Australia indicates that 32 Australian workers have died on the job so far this year with the highest number of fatalities coming from the transport, postal and warehousing industry.

Ten workers have been killed on the job from the transport, postal and warehousing industry but the construction industry is not far behind. The construction industry has had 9 deaths so far this year.

The agriculture, forestry and fishing industry had 5 fatalities and came in third place.
