Why Australian Diets Need to Change

An insightful report has been released by CSIRO revealing that Australian diets are below the benchmark, with construction workers being found to be among the worst eaters.

Junk food is the main culprit bringing down the Australian diet and the problem seems to be getting worse.

To come to these results, researchers surveyed over 86,500 adults across Australia, over a period of 12 months.

In August 2015 the country scored 61 out of 100 on the diet scale, now the score has dropped to 59, with the benchmark at 70.

We need to monitor our junk food intake, and limit the amounts of alcohol, cakes, biscuits, sweet drinks and confections that we consume.

The report showed women had better nutritional levels than men, and construction worker have among the worst eating habits.
