The importance of healthy eating has been highlighted by the latest CSIRO’s Fruit, Vegetables and Diet Score Report, commissioned by Horticulture Innovation Australia.
The report states that more than half of all Australians actually aren’t getting enough fruit in their diet. This is surprising, especially considering that 2 out of 3 aren’t eating a sufficient amount of vegetables.
On the construction site, it can be tempting to eat unhealthily, it’s more convenient and affordable in some instances. But good planning is key to eating healthy, especially on the worksite. If you plan your meals on the weekend for the entire week and do the necessary shopping, packing lunches will be easier and you won’t be tempted to buy unhealthy, quick lunches.
