A worker was recently airlifted to hospital after sustaining crushing injuries when a clump of soil fell on him.

The man, believed to be in his fifties was injured at a site east of Millmerran last week.

According to reports the man’s pelvis was crushed when a clump of black soil rolled on him. He was working in a ditch at the building site at the time.

Paramedics were called to the scene and transported the man to Millmerran Hospital, where the RACQ LifeFlight helicopter landed. Emergency personnel flew him to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.
