Construction Activity Falls in June

Source: GoBigProjects.co.za

According to The Australian Industry Group/Housing Industry Association Performance of Construction Index construction activity continued to contract in June, as mining related projects declined.

There is some good news though, as the housing construction sector continued to expand. According to the Index, construction overall fell 1.4 points to 46.4 in June.

Because it fell below the 50 level, it is classified as being in contraction.
