An article on ACIF.com.au recently discussed the importance of finding a healthy balance for employees.

According to recent statistics, construction workers are generally unhealthy and often overweight. They also tend to consume more alcohol than the national average.

According to Diabetes WA Prevention Unit Manager Lauren Zappa a healthy worker is a happy worker and overall health and wellbeing are directly linked to productivity. Also healthy workers spend less time off work and report less injuries.

“My Healthy Balance” program is an initiative by Diabetes WA for the health conscious employers who want to help employees get healthy and improve their bottomline.
