NBN To Train 4500 New Workers

Copper cable jointers, linesworkers, cablers and telco technicians will be added to the existing employees rolling out the National Broadband Network (NBN).

The company building the NBN as well as its construction partners is going to invest in $40 million training and recruitment for 4500 workers to boost the total workforce to 9000 jobs.

Agreements will also be signed with a number of TAFEs and Registered Training Organisations, with providers in every major rollout region across the country.
