Shake up in Construction, but we need to builder better

With the new Prime Minister’s promise to focus on cities and the built environment, a shake-up in the construction industry can be expected, with Turnbull’s government recognising how important the construction sector is to the economy.

Having described his cabinet as a  “21st century government”, Prime Minister Turnbull has reminded us that liveable cities that are efficient and productive should be seens as economic assets and the construction sector is paramount to that.

The sector contributes $200 billion to the economy and employs more than 100 millionpeople but there are challenges to growing the industry and remaining progressive.

In order for our construction industry to grow, we need to concentrate on “continuous improvement” and building smarter.
