US Construction Fatalities at 6 Year High

Construction fatalities have reached a 6 year high in the United States according to a report by that country’s Bureau of Labor Statistics.

In 2014 construction deaths were up by 874, a 6 per cent climb from 2013 and the highest figure since 2008.

The report did note that the construction’s workforce has increased in the past several years as the volume of projects has increased.

Thirteen workers every day are killed on the job, Labour Secretary Thomas Perez noted.
