Bundaberg Bobcat Incident Claims Worker’s Life

A 60-something year old man has been crushed by a bobcat at his home in Bundaberg.

The man was discovered under the bucket of the bobcat that he had been using at his property when the incident occurred.

Police and emergency crews arrived on the scene but were unable to revive the man who was declared dead on the scene.

Man Injured After Bobcat Rolls On Him

Following an incident with a bobcat, a construction worker is in hospital undergoing surgery.

The man was crushed by a bobcat while working on a retirement village building site in Canberra’s south.

The Kambah site was shut down after the accident late on Wednesday.

Greg Jones, ACT WorkSafe Commissioner said the man was lucky to alive. He also described the accident as preventable.

It is believed the bobcat was reversing near a trench when it injured a plumber who was working in the hole.

He said there should have been barriers around the trench which could have prevented this incident. Inspectors also ordered that some scaffolding be completely removed and properly rebuilt.
