An Elliot Heads man who was working at the Boondooma Dam construction site was airlifted to hospital recently after suffering an injury when an air compressor rolled around 7:18am.
The man was pushed by a 7 tonne air compressor onto a structure of reinforcement steel which then rolled over him.
He was treated by a doctor and paramedics from the Queensland Ambulance Service before being flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
It is believed the man suffered lower limb injuries.
A second worker was treated for shock. The accident is being investigated by workplace authorities.
