A serious accident has taken place on a construction site at Blacktown, resulting in injuries for one construction worker.

The man is in a serious but stable condition since falling 3 metres onto concrete while working from height at Blacktown Hospital recently.

The 29 year old man sustained a severe head injury in the fall and was attended to by CareFlight’s rapid response rescue personnel.

The man was treated at the scene and placed in an induced coma to stabilise his breathing before transporting him by road ambulance to Westmead Hospital.

Falls from heights, even those perceived as “low” can result in serious injuries. Find out more http://www.blacktownsun.com.au/story/4986974/construction-worker-severely-injured-at-blacktown-hospital/
